where T ≥ 2 is a positive integer andΔu k u k 1 −u k is the forward difference operator. Throughout this paper, we denote by Z a, b the discrete interval {a, a 1, . . . , b}, where a and b are integers and a < b. We consider in 1.1 two different boundary conditions: a Dirichlet boundary condition u 0 0 and a Neumann boundary condition Δu T 0 . In the literature, the boundary condition considered in this paper is called a mixed boundary condition. We also consider the function space

Sinc-Galerkin method for solving a class of nonlinear two-point boundary value problems
In this article, we develop the Sinc-Galerkin method based on double exponential transformation for solving a class of weakly singular nonlinear two-point boundary value problems with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. Also several examples are solved to show the accuracy efficiency of the presented method. We compare the obtained numerical results with results of the other existing methods in...
متن کاملSolvability of a Class of Two-point Boundary Value Problems for Nonlinear Second-order Difference Equations
where a, b, A,B ∈ R, n ≥ 2 is an integer and f is a continuous, scalar-valued function. In recent years there have been many papers devoted to the solvability of twopoint boundary value problems for second-order or higher-order difference equations. We refer the reader to the textbooks [1,2,3], the papers [6,7] and the references therein. In [4] the following discrete boundary value problem (BV...
متن کاملAn efficient method for the numerical solution of Helmholtz type general two point boundary value problems in ODEs
In this article, we propose and analyze a computational method for numerical solution of general two point boundary value problems. Method is tested on problems to ensure the computational eciency. We have compared numerical results with results obtained by other method in literature. We conclude that propose method is computationally ecient and eective.
متن کاملHigher order multi-point fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions
In this paper, we concerned with positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions. We establish the criteria for the existence of at least one, two and three positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions by using a result from the theory of fixed...
متن کاملOn the Solvability of Nonlinear, First-Order Boundary Value Problems
This article investigates the existence of solutions to first-order, nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs) involving systems of ordinary differential equations and two-point boundary conditions. Some sufficient conditions are presented that will ensure solvability. The main tools employed are novel differential inequalities and fixed-point methods. AMS 2000 Classification: 34B15, 34B99
متن کاملDynamic Systems and Applications 18 (2009) 265-274 POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR DISCRETE BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS
Discrete boundary value problems have been discussed extensively in the literature; see, for example, Agarwal et al. [1], Anderson et al. [5], and Avery et al. [6], as well as the references cited therein. In [1], the authors use critical point theory to establish the existence of multiple solutions of some regular as well as singular discrete boundary value problems. Solvability of a nonlinear...
